SERIOUS MINING ACCIDENT.
About Luilf-past six this morning, a most serious ;.ecideiit bel'el Charles King, a mine' engaged in the All Nations Company's mine, it appears that he had just broken down a leader in the third stope above the beach level, and was in the act of sending it down the nhoot, when a fluke of ciay from the hanging wall, close up to the face of the slope, fell and struck him on tho neck, but most seriously on his right leg, near to the anckle, breaMng it a.t once. Dr. Trousseau wis speedily in attendance, dressed his wounds on the neck, and then had him removed to the hospital) where, with tbr assistance of Dr. Lethbridge, tlfe poor fellow's leg wai set. Up to an hour or two ago he w*s doing as well as could be expected.— [Thames correspondent, Nov. 22.]
