The high reputation Olson 8 tomato sauce bas obtained as a household condiment, has brought many inferior articles into the market The public are therefore warned not to be imposed upon with rubbish, but ask for Olson's genuine tomato sauce, and see that hii name is on the bottle. "To Mr. Hans Olson.— Dear Sir,— Bv.s_l.-1e mistake a bottle of your tomato sauee'was put away in my house, and remained uncorked for upwards of twelve months. The same bottle of sauce was afterwards used nt ray o>m table, and I found it was equally as «ood as when first made.— I. W. Doonm, wholesale and retail grocer, 218, Queen-street, Auckland."—[AßYT.] The Post of ' he 19th says:—The late changes in the colour of postage stamps is creating the greatest confusion. The alterations have been ma c it is said, with a view to de'eat several Well-executed forgeries that are reported to be circulating ; how this will be effected thereby we are at a loss to see. Instead of changing the colours altogether, tho same colours are preserved, though different, values arc attached to there. ' The former blue twopenny stamp is now rated at Gd, and the late 6d stamp, choco-late-coloured, is now reduced to a penny in value. It is exceedingly probable that, owing to the confusion occasioned, many persons will have letters detained for insufficient posiage, and that others will put stamps of greater value than neede 1 on other communications. The alterations that have taken place have not been made as public as they should have been, and the Government are greatly to blame in making such changes without giving much fuller notice than has hitherto been the ease. A poet says, " Oh, she was fair, but sorrow came and left his traces there." What became of the rest of the harness he dees not state.
