Tho Dioce.an Synod assembled yesterday in the Cathedral Library. There was a large attendance of clergy and laity. There were two subjects dibcussed with considerable animation, namely, the New Zealand Hymnal and Diocesan Trusts, especially the Bislioprij Endowment Eund. The latter subject was discussed in committee. The debate had not concluded at 10 o'clock. The constitution cf the Standing Committee was discussed ii committee.
