VOLUNTEER MATTERS.

Last evening the members of No. 1 Company, No. 5 Company, and the Hobson Company of Rifle Volunteers, assembled at the Albert Barracks, for the purpose of undergoing their usual monthly inspection. Major Gordon was present, and the men went through tbe usual evolutions. The Artillery were also present in another part of the ground, being drilled by Captain Fealoru Vie understand fliat the whole of the Artillery will have tlieir new busbys in a few days. In another part of the Barracks the Scotch Company were also being drilled. The night was very favourable for the parades, being bright moonlight.—Herald.
