DRUNKENNESS.—One person who had been apprehended for this offence, forfeited his bail,
ijiijiAcn of Municipal Corporation Acr. —William Vickers, charged with, being absent from his horse and cart,-failed to appear; and tho service of the summons having been proved, he was ordered to pay a fine of 40s and costs, or bo imprisoned fourteen days with hard labor.
Perjury.— the hearing of the charge of perjury against George Spray, was resumed. Air. Hesketh stated that the prosecutor di I not desire to offer any further evidence. —His Worship said although evidence might be offered b, Hie defendant, which might alter his opinion, his present conviction was that the case was quite as clearly one ot perjury as was that of Friedmann. He had had an opportunity of carefully studying tho evidence, and could eoiue to no other conclusion. —Mr. Kees then said that under those circumstances he would not at pre ent offer any evidence, but, on behalf of dV'endant, he would reserve tho defence:—'.Spray was then co.nmitted for trial
