October 5.—A meeting of tho creditors of Joseph Taylor ami Co., merchants, was convened for to-day —The ecclesiastiual trial terminated in tho. acquittal of the Rev. Mr. Wollaston. — The ■Superintendent of the Sailors' ilomc reports that seamen have been more in demand during tho past month. — flour continues dull at £13 to £13 10s; feeding grtdus are steady at former quotations ; some parcels of maize sold at 3s 9d to 3s lOd ; sugars arc firmer. —Eleven tons of sugars sold at auction at £25 for ration and £39 10s for white crystals.
October 6.—Barbelle is still the favourite for the Melbourne Cud.
