The following is a copy of a telegram received from the manager:— " 9.29 a.m. " Repaired ])lumber-blocks, and started at 10 last night. Grot out water, but. at 5 this morning the main shaft of the engine broke. ;\ShaU bring it to Auckland'to-niglife. J^User is here, and has been at the mine. Must have a larger shaft.
