ENTERTAINMENT AT THE CATHOLIC INSTITUTE.

A COMPLnruNTAiiY benefit was tendered to Mr. E. \V. Ward by the members of the Ethiopian Troupe and Naval Brigade Minstrels last night. The programme consisted of songs, olioruses, and duets, also a very amusing sketch, entitled "The Haunted Bouse," in which Mr. Ward kept the house in roars of laughter. Mr. P. Doran's comic song, " The Return from the Buttle," was woll rendered, and the charming balled, "Break ir G-ently to my Mother," was' given in good stylo by Mr. O'Have. The entertainment concluded with the side-snlittiiic farce of " The Barber of Seville."
