PRINCE OF WALES THEATRE.
The house was very -well filled last evening, on -which occasion Mr. Frank Varley, the scenic artist, was accorded a benefit. " The | Belief of Luckriow" was tho principal pioce; of the evening, and waa exceedingly well performed, and set off by a number of new; scenes by that talented artist. The farce of i " The Swiss Swain" concluded a pleasing enter-, tainment. We are glad to find that on; Thursday evening a coraplioiontary benefit; 'iwill boi'.tSundered,--to-jPf., 8... N. Jones, the. obliging lessee of the theatre, who Certainly, deserves the highest recognition of his sue-; cessful endeavours to provide amusements of a high character, and such as tend to elevate the "morality of rthose, who deh'ght in^dramatic rfpres\n|atiofti. MSr. Joriejf is 'ah actor1 of very great-aftlfty, and for iris benefit Misa Colville and Mr. Hoskins have volunteered their assistance. The other well-known memf berß of the company have also promised theif aid; and the prinoijrtsilf -pic.cc selected. for representation is "The Serious Eifmny' > "iwhich has already been played here with very- grea| success.
