AMERICAN EXCELSIOR MINSTEELS.

This fraternity of clever performers reappoare.d .yesterday ev.oning .on the platform di the City Hall,' anfl: throughout the ontertainment -were greeted with outbursts of irresistible mirth and delight from a full audience. Since thoir departure for the Thames the company has been reinforced by several ominent musicians, and the improvement in the accompaniments was immense, stringed instruments, played by performers of the highest class, having taken the place of wind instruments, which' can never accurately follow the inflections of the human voice. Where all performed their parts so well, it might bo thought invidious to specially mention any particular one; but the opinion of the audience seemed decidedly to be that in the first part a tenor song, by M&.G.'tHke, was specially good. After the intermission a number of"comicalities were produced; and a dance by Messrs. Holly and Eelly,' iri: which the most -wonderful precision in rhythm -was maintained, concurrently -with extraordinary agility, porfectly " brought down" the house.' Aftor this, Mr. Amery -was deservedly encored in a solo, rendered in bis usual 'highly cultivated style. followed tho harp solo, by Processor ! Saunders,-.and: to this Lho. audience listened -with breathless attention until its completion, ■when.thero.burst forth an uproar of acclamation seldom' heard in this city; and Mr. Saunders per force returned and performed a number of» old .airs, of/that description so eminently suited to the ancient king of instruments.
