September 14.—The Assembly have affirmed the principle of the arlyieablity of reimbursing members their expenses ; the amount so to be allowed has not been determined. £20n was proposed but negatived;— The Roman Catholic Glergy repudiate .the Irish Harp ■is the organ of tho Cal.hoiic party. —Sixty ounces of gold have been found near Williamatown; its discovery has caused great excitement.—Mr. Way, barrister, has been appointed Queen's Counsel.—Flour is quoted at from £li 5s to £13. Wheat, ss, nominal.Dai'win, a merchant, has assigned his estate to his creditors. —Wheat anil flour are dull ; tho market evinces a strong downward tendency.—Parcols of wheat hare been sold at 4s 9d, for export.
