THE CALEDONIAN.—MINE MANAGER'S REPORT.
The following is a copy of a telegram received from the manager:—
" 9.30 a.m.
"The water has not abated. It is thirty feet high in the shaft, and is now following into the bottom of winzes. We shall work all night and the whole day to-morrow to get the double pump down. No change in mine elsewhere, and no better. Tailings were ready to ship yesterday, but steamer would not take them from Grahamstown. Will be up by Enterprise to-day."
