We are requested to draw attention to an extensive sale of choice fruits, jams, flour, &c, ex Jane, from Hobart Town, to be held at the stores of Messrs. Meyers and Co., tomorrow (Tuesday), at noon. One of the neatest and most useful specimens of Auckland industry is nowtoberepn at the workshop of Mr. H. H. Smith, of High - street. It is a 'kitchen range, constructed entirely of wrought iron, and therefore not liable to the breakage incidental to those formed of cast iron. It has every convenience for culinary operations ; and as this artizan can supply similar ones for something like £8 10s. —a considerable reduction on what the imported ones can be purchased for —wo can safely recommend their adoption. Smith has likewise on hand other stoves and ovens of a superior class., which ought to be inspected by everyone desirous of fitting out his establishment in a perfect manner.
In a Provincial Government Gazette published to-day, there is nothing contained but the proclamation of twenty-four reserves. The list comprehends a reserve for a site of a grammar school and playground in Symondsstreet; for the rifle range in the Parish of Waitemata, and for a parade ground and rifle range in the Parish of Waiuku; for a watering place of a perch frontage in the suburbs ; for a wharf at Raglan, a landing place at Mangapai, a site for a church, for three cemeteries, and fourteen reserves for educational purposes. r j x>\ ' ;i ';: '• . ■.-. .„, , ; ■» i ■ ''.'.,■ I.'
