CITY WEST ELECTION
A. detutation of electors of Auckland West waited this afternoon on John Williamson, Esq., at the chambers of J. Sheehan, ii.sq., in the Insurance Company's Buildings. Mr. A. Black presented a requisition from more than 420 electors, asking him to allow himself to be placed in noiniiiiiii.ft. Mr. Williamson replied to the effect that, after fifteen years representation of the district, he felt proud that the electors still had full confidence in him, and would be very happy to accede to thsir request. From a perusal of the requisition, we may say that it has been signed by many of the. most influential citiz'.'US. The address and requisition will be published at full length on Monday.
