THE AMERICAN ETHIOPIAN MINSTRELS.
The many counter-attractions last evening somewhat interfered with the entertainment given by this talented company ; and the result of a first performance toeing <;iven at the new Music Hall and the two theatres being devoted to the production of sensational pieces, was, that the attendance at the (Jity Hall was by no means so large as usual; still there was a moderately good number present, and the troupe went through the programme wilh their usual spirit. Songs by Mr. Clark, and Mr. Amery, a violiu solo by Mr. Merman, grotesque dancing; by Messrs. .Kelly and O'iiriau were particularly well performed, and received the hearty applause of the audience. A great recommendation in those entertainments is, that no time is lost between the pieces, nii.d in consequence the performance is g( nerally over by half-past ten. The same programme, which is an excellent one, will be repeated this eveniug, when wo may expect to see a better attendance.
