EXCELSIOR MINSTRIES.
l&S wdianticipated, ilie first appearance of the Excelsior Minstrels at the City Hall on Saturday evening proved in every respect a complete success. The hall was perfectly crowded, and the performance so well gone through that the audience repeatedly testified their delight, by outbursts of applause, and frequently called for encores. The entertainment is certainly the best of the kind that has come before an Auckland audience for many years, and thoroughly deserves to be well patronised. Some of the voices of the party aye remarkably good and well managed, the instrumentation is fair, and as for the comic dancing nothing could be more irresistibly ludicrous. We are unable to give a detailed account ot Saturday's proceedings, but hope tomorrow to give a full notice of these remarkably clever artistes.
