GUARD OF HONOR.
As will be seen from a District Order» published in another column, there will be a parade of all the Volunteer forces on Tuesday next, in order to form a guard of honor to Ms Excellency the Governor on his departure for the seat of Government. It will be observed that all the corps are summoned to attend with the exception of the Hobson-street ar.d Otahuhu companies of Rifles, these two companies having bean but lately formed, and not having received their uniforms.. Tka several places at which the corps are t* muster will be found in the district orders. After due honor will have been done to the representative of Her Majesty, the Cavalry alone will escort the Governor to Onehunga, at which place the Onehunga Corps will form a guard of honor near the Government Wharf. We have no doubt the muster on the occasion will present a very imposing scene, not the least interesting portion of which will be the appearance of the various newlyformed companies of our youthful defenders, the Cadets, who are expected to be present and take part iv the proceedings.
