Evening Stab Office, Wednesday afternoon

Messrs. E. and H. Isaacs held a trade sale at their store to-day. There was a good attendance, and fair prices realised, considering the large quantity of the goods on the market. The following are ' the prices :— tobacco, Is o<id per lb."; vestas, 25O's, 6s 9d per gross; tea paper, 6d per lb.; shop twine, Is 3d per lb. Messrs. W. G. Harrison and Co. report having offered at auction to-day a large parcel of drapery and clothing. The trade waa well represented, but bidding dull, in consequence of the greater portion being winter stock, and the season so far advanced.
