DUNEDIN.
July 12.—The Government have informed Air. Reynolds that it is their intention to introduce a Workman's Loan Bill this session. —At a trial crushing of the Border reef at Bendigo, 41 ounces of gold were taken from nine tons of stone.— An important decision has been given by Mr. Justice Chapman in tho case of Syson v. Hebert, which decides cases on the withdrawal of civil actions by the plaintiffs, the defendant being entitled to all his costs, notwithstanding the notice of withdrawal previous to hearing.
