NELSON.

July 11.—Manson Sinclair, son of Mr. Donald Sinclair, solicitor, was practising a detouating needle revolver, and got shot. One charge did not go off. As he was trying to adjust the pistol, the charge exploded, the ball entering his stomach. He went into the house, said he was shot, and lay down on his bed. He is still alive, but no hopes are en - tertained of his recovery.
