Tub annual meoting of the slmroliolders of this company was hold at 2 o'clock yesterdaj afternoon, at the ofEce of the legal manager, iVIr. Tothill, Shortland-streefc; Mr. Joseph Howard occupied tho chair. The directors' report was read and adopted. The balancesheet showed that 2546 tons of quartz were crushed during the last year, and yielde ; 8333 ozs. 2 dwts. of gold, which sold foi £21,662 lls. 6d. Out of this £14,010 had been paid in dividends, £4396 12s. Bd. foi wages, and £3322 10a. 8.1. on miscol aneousexpenses. Mr. Gr. S. Gh'iihain was elected ft director in the room of Albert Beetham. Mr J. Wrigley was appointed auditor for the current year. A vote of thanks to the chair man concluded the proceedings.
