COKCEHT AT THE CITY HALL. As will bo seen from another column, the postponed concert, to be given by Mr. Walter Stubbing, will take place to-night at the City Hall. We recommend nil those with music in their souls to look at the programme published in another column ; and whether we regard the selection made of the names of the performers, we have confidence in predicting, not only a very full house, but a most successful performance. Among the gems of the evening will unquestionably be the " Air and variations" by Mr. Jones and Mr. Stubbing. The power of the former in manipulating the violiu is well known in Auckland, and Mr. Suibbing's nbilities as a pianist are of such a character that a rare treat may be anticipated. The mere announcement of Ihe names of some of the performers, irrespective of the intrinsic merits of their vocalisation, which we have no doubt will be of a very pleasing kind, is sure to draw, and altogether the entertainment afforded will bo of a class to please the most fastidious.
