At. Moss was charged' by Emily Holoiea with assault. Mr. Bennett for the defence.—Emily Holmes deposed that she is a married woman residing . at. Newton. Prisoner boardfid afc Jier house for about three months. Saw him. on Friday last in the street at Newton, about midday. He tool: her by the ehouliier, violently turned her round without provocation, and called her bad names. Ho heis repeatedly before used insulting language, .and had been turned out of the house by her husband. Believes he will do her bodily haorm if not restrained.— Fined 10s. and costs, <md ordered to find two sureties in £10 each, and bis own bond for £20, to fceep-the peace for six months,
