There has been more activity in the sharemarket to-day.. I have sold Thames at £39 10s., held for £40; Caledonians, £198 ; Otagos, £3 2s. 6d., held for £3 5s ; Nonpareils, £4 ss. ; Middle Star, new issue, 30s. me. j. newman's eepobt. The sharemarket remains inactive, but the last two days show indications of an improvement by increased demand for a number of .leading shares at lower rates than sellers will take. This morning there are buyers for All Nations atjj £4 10s. ; Unas, 225. ; Otago, £2 18sM Cures, 20s. ; Thames, £39 ; and Calf ' donians, £198. My sales are limitedi) ; Belfasts,"£7 55.; Otago, £3.
