As will be seen from another column, Messrs. L. D. Nathan and Co. will sell by auction to-morrow a very large quantity of blankets, drapery, &c (damaged), ex Alexandrina.
We would call particular attention to the state of Mechanics' Baj> Road. The sea wall is completely washed awayi making it very; dangerous to the benighted inhabitants of Parnell when proceeding homewards. The road itself is full of holes and ruts, rendering it almost impassible. '■>■
A meeting of Lodge Waitemata, 689, E.C., will take place this evening at the Masonic Hotel.
A final dividend in the estate of F. J. Bennet will be payabie at the office of Mr, Ewington on the 20th inst.
The singing olasses of the Auckland Educational Society will meet this evening, at the usual hours, and not on Thursday evening. '
