ACCIDENT IN QUEEN-STREET.

This forenoon a collision occurred in Queen-strpei. which has resulted in the death of a horse. As a horse and cart belonging to a Mr. Craig were cora'ne out of the passage leading from M ear's stables, .Vfr. C. Major's spring-cart was coming down the street at a rapid pace when the horse striking the shaft of Craig's cart, th;e shaft penetrated the animal's brest, arid he fell. Being removed to the side walk, the unfortunate animal bled to death. There really should be compulsion brought to bear on the drivers of vehicles to! induce a less violent way of traversing our more crowded thoroughfares. An accident of this nature may just as readily happen to a man as to a horse, in the tremendous haste that seems habitually to impel our Jehus in Queen-street. . • "
