WESLEYAN MISSION.
Last night the annual meeting of the Wesleyan Home Mission was held in the Church, in Pitt-street. The Rev. Mr. Rigg occupied the chair, and the report and the financial statement were read and adopted. The following was the statement submitted :— "European Home Mission.—Collections, £35 10s 7d; collected by Miss Ashton, 127 168 6d ; collected by Miss Laurie, £S 16s; collected by Miss Henry, £15 ; collected by Miss Moyle, £5 5s 6d; collected by Miss Foster, £2 19s 6d ; collected by ——, £2 14s 6d; Pitt-street missionary box, £6 19s 2d; Grafton Road ditto, £1 5s j Miss Kelly's ditto, £1 17s ; total, Auckland, £109 12s 9d ; to which is to be added —Thames, £9 2s; New Plymouth, £8 ; Eaglan, £2'; Otahuhu,' £5 7s 7d; Waiuku, £6. Total receipts for European Mission, £140 2s 4d.' " Maori Mission.—Collections, £23 3s 2d ; collected by Misa Laurie, £1 5s ; Christmas offering, High-street, £3 9s 3d ; ditto ditto, Pitt-street, £4 7s B£d j ditto ditto, Grafton Road, £5 2s 5d ; Thames, £14 Is 6d ; New Plymouth, £14 18s 8d ; Raglan, £1 ; Otahuhu, £4 19s 6d.; Waiuku, £1 5s 3d ; Rev. Mr. Gittos, £2 2s; Eey. Mr. Rowse, £2 2s ; Waikato, £3 10s. Total for Maori Mission, £81 6s 5d."
Various clergymen and others addressed the meeting, and on the motion of the Rev. W. Williams, it was resolved "That the Missionary Committee for the ensuing year consist of Messrs. Hobbs, Edson, Caley, Palmer, Griffiths, W. C. Wilson, J. L. Wilson, Shera, C. J. Stone, and T. Buddle, in addition to the ministers of the circuit j that Mr. Shera be appointed treasurer, and the JJev. Mr. Berry secretary."
