HARBOUR BOARD.
A SPEOIA.Ii meeting of the Harbour Board was held to-day, at 2 p.m. Present—Captain Daldy (in the chair), Messrs. Copland, Smart, Philips, Cochrane, Yon der Heyde, Jones, M/fcready, Tonks, Nathan, and Case.v.—The o«iirman reported that arrangements were 7 fide for collecting- accounts, and correspondence was read which had passed between the Superintendent and the Chairman respecting the financial affairs of the Board, and the investment of moneys in the sinking-fund ; also correspondence with the Postmaster respecting accommodation for the mail boats. The Chairman stated that there were several applications for situations under the Board, but it was resolved that for the present the applications should be deferred.
