MUTUAL MINING INVESTMENT COMPANY.
A meeting of intending shareholders ill this company was held last night, at the Army and Navy Hotel. There was a good attendance, and it was announced that already about 100 shares had been taken up. After some discussion it was resolved that the term "Hauraki" should be dropped, and that the association should bear the name of the " Mutual Mining Investment Company." It was further proposed that the shares, originally proposed to be valued for £20, should be made of the value- of £10, so as to bring them within the reach of a larger number, and that the shares should be paid up in weekly instalments of sg. each; the total number of shares being 200. A committee was appointed to consider the rules, and to bring up a report at a general meeting to be held on Monday evening, at which meeting the first directors will be chosen. Applications for shares can now be made to Mr. R. Williams, provisional secretary, at his office in West Queen-street, first door from Queenstreet.
