G-EAHAMSTOWN, 1 p.m. The Caledonian have lodged 20,016 ounces. The Bass Rock, near the Nonpareil, have taken out some splendid specimens. The Middle Star have crushed three tons, which have yielded six ounces of gold. Bixon's No. 1 crushing of fortyseven tons gave 194- ounces. The Qolden Lion have opened a good reef. Scrip is enquired for. 2 p.m. The Cure will commence a crushing during the present week. The new reef struck — supposed to be the Golden Crown No. 2 —has every appearance of containing gold. North Devon scrip has been much sought after this morning consequent upon its close proximity to the Alburnia.
