VOLUNTEER MATTERS.

The adjourned meeting of persons favorable to the formation of a Volunteer Commissariat Corps was held last evening, at the Belfast Hotel. It will be remembered that the meeting of the 27th ultimo resulted in the appointment of a committee to draw up a form of application to the Government to accept the services of the corps. About twenty were present, and Mr. F. H. Ibbetson, late Assistant Commissary-General, was moved into the chair. Mr. R. Payne, jun., having been appointed secretary, the minutes of last meeting were read and adopted, after which the chairman laid before the meeting a form, showing the plan on which it was desired the service of the corps should be accepted. No provision had been made in the Volunteer Act for the acceptance of the services of a Commissariat Corps, but it was competent to the Governor to enlarge the regulations, so as to embrace a corps of the kind. This application was adopted by the meeting, and some additional signatures were appended to the memorial, after which it was settled that it should be left in the hands of the committee, who should forward it to the Government'when a sufficient number of signature had beerf obtained ; and the meeting adjourned until recalled by advertisement from the secretary. -. * After the monthly inspection of tke Artillery Volunteers on Tuesday, Bandmaster Curry was presented with a very handsomd „ silvermounted huton; the gift "of Lieut. fe%acs.
