[Before Thomas Bsckham. Eeq., District Judge.] Hi 3 Honoh sat in the District Court today afc 10.30 a.m. Unbzfended Cases.—Verdicts were given for plaintiffs in the following cases : Lanfear v. Jeffcotfc, £40 interest, coats £5 9s, Mr. Buddie for plaintiff; Lusk v. Couiabah Gold Mining Company, £29 2s 2d, coats £410a. DEFENDED CASB3. Neil t. McKenzie.—Mr. Baasell for the plaintiff, Mr. Keeß for defence. Adjourned till next Coarfc day, defendant paying for cost of adjournment. Smalu r. Golden Hqrit G. M. Company.— Mr. Beveridge for defendant, Mr. I/usk for plaintiff. Application for re-hearing. Adjourned by consent to next court-day. Watson t. Watt.—Claim £84 Bs. 5d., of which £56 2s. 6d. was paid into Court, an aciion on a building contract. Mr. Wynn for plaintiff, Mr. Hesketh for defendant. —For the plaintiff, Mr. Wynn stated that the plaintiff built a house for defendant for a sum of £90, of which £4-5 was paid down, the balance to remain for two or three years at 8 per cent. —Defendant denied the agreement in reference to the interest. Plaintiff also put up a slate roof in place of a shingle roof, for which defendant agreed to pay an extra £14, There - were also several little extras besides the roof. —Plaintiff gave evidence in support of the case. — James Wilson also gave Becondary evidence.
