The financial condition of the Association was satisfactory, being out of debt, with the exception of seven shillings and sixpence for ■ handbills, calling the pretent meeting. Mr. Lamb, of Riverhead, followed, and maide a celling speech. A number of speakers followed, after which several members were added to the committee, which now includes the following names: E. Carr, .J. W. Carr, Hemus, Coupland, Lewis, Swinnerton, • Beale, J. Graham, Nicholas, Viekery, Spragg, Mason, Jeane, Seabrooke, Webster, Tremaine, Wells, Hughe3, Bonher, Cherry, Devlin, Black, Hurst, Payne, R. Payne, J. W. Ellis, Gledhill, W. Wood, McPherson, James Carr, Lamb, Page, Newman, Bond, Clark, Roebuck, J. Mason, and R. Downing. A motion having been carried pledging the membei-3 of the com-mittee--to do then- best to reduce the liquor traffic, the proceedig3 terminated.
