Febutjaky 22.—Macandrew has a majority of 20(3. Two small returns are yet to come.— The Bansheo, schooner, foundered off Waikoiti. All hands were lost except the captain.— The vessel was insured.
February 23.—The election returns for the Superintendency are all in, and corrected. The totals are—Macaudrew, 3270 ; lieid, 2953.—The Ohigo University opens in June. Dr. Grow has been appointed Professor of Natural Suieuce. —The Eaushee, schooner, 76 tons, struck on the Danger Reef on Monday night and became a total wreck. The mate and three of the crew were drowned.
