CITY BOARD APPEAL.

Yestjebday was the day appointed for the hearing of appeals against the assessment lately made by the Collector of the City Board, Mr. Diddrms. There were altogether some seventy objections. The principal appellants were Messrs. Green way, (16), Daldy, (3), Henry Keesing, (11), and Robert Bartley, (6), Reductions were made in six of Mr. Keesing's objections, in twoof Captain Daldy's, andin two of Mr. Ghreenway's, besides a number of others; among them being My. Perkins's, of the Occiv dental Hotel whose assessment was reduced by £40. Altogether thirty-five objections were allowed. The total amounts which these reductions represent, is £17 8s Bd. Pour appeals were received late —they were, however, considered and Ihree of them allowed.
