In St. Andrew's Church yesterday forenoon Rev. Mr. Cosh delivered a very affecting and appropriate address having special reference to the death of Mrs. Bruce. The pulpit was hung with mourning, and the sorrow felt by the congregation was very manifest. The test on the occasion was from the Gospel according to John, chapter 17, verse 24, " Father I will that they also whom Thou hast given me, be with me where I am, that they may behold my glory which Thou hast given me." During the delivery of the discourse Mr. Cosh read a letter from Mr. Bruce detailing the melancholy circumstances of his bereavement.
Yesterday afternoon the Rev. J. McNicol delivered an address at the Young Men's Christian As.-oeiation Booms, especially adapted to the circumstances of young men about to begin life. The title of the address was " Personal Religion, its Importance und Value." There was a very good attendance of young men and others, and the address was listened to very attentively throughout.
