RICH SPECIMENS.
DEMAND FOR SHARES
1.30 p.m. The Caledonians have already lodged 2052 ounces in the bank on account. This is about a third of what may be expected this week The Waiteinata have taken out another lot of very rich specimens this morning. Shares have changed hands this morning in the following claims : — Caledonians, £57 10s.; Waitematas, 205.; West Coasts, 4s. fid. and ss; Nonpareils, £3 ; Cures, 7s. 6d.; Red Queens, ss; Central Italys are scarce, the buying price is ss; selling price, 10s. There is an enquiry here to-day for Tookeys. Small parcels have been sold at £5 10s. Very few in the market. It is believed that the rich reef now being worked iv the Caledonian will be found in Tookey's.
