Dbttnkknness. —J. Stark, W. Butler, W. Ellis, and Margaret McCann were each fined 5s and costs; Margaret Condon, second offence, 10s, or seven days' imprisonment j P. Peterson fined ss, and for contempt of Court fined ss.
Breach of Merchant Shipping Act. — Robb. Cutting andWm. Foster pleaded guilty to the charge of absenting themselves from the Queen Bee without leave. —Capt. Dent agreed to take both men back.—The Bench discharged them with an admonition. Joseph Elliott, charged with broaching cargo on boiu-d the Queen Bee, pleaded guilty. — The Bench sentenced prisoner to 14 days' imprisonment. Vagbancy.—Bridget L. Estrange, charged with using obscene language in Symondssfcreet, fined 20s and costs, or one month's imprisonment. Breach of Licensing Act. —John G-uild-ing, charged with nob keeping his lamp alight, pleaded guilty, and was fined ss. Breach op Municipal Pouce Act.—Q-eo. Staines, charged with placing goods on the footpath.—Mr. Wynn appeared for the City Board.—Thos. Young, Inspector of Nuisances, proved having cautioned Mr. Staines on several occasions.—The Bench fined defendant 5s and costs, and ordered him to removed the obstruction.
Obtaining Money undek Fuse PeetenceS. —A. B. Humphrey, charged by J. H. Pike, with unlawfully obtaining the sum of 10a 6d. —Mr. Wynn appeared for the defendant. —The prosecutor would not offer any evidence.—The defendant was discharged.
