ACCIDENT ON BOARD THE BELLAMARY.

A very painful accident occurred this morning on board the Bella Mary. Timber was being lifted out of the hatchway, and Edward Chaffy, an apprentice on board, was assisting. The rope by which the timber was being slung ashore broke, and the timber falling on his hands literally cut off three of the fingers of his right hand. The sufferer has been removed to the hospital.
