THE VOLUNTEERS.

The usual monthly parade of tho Auckland Rifle Volunteers took place last night, under the command of Major Gordon, who put the men through a more than usually severe course of drill. After the inspection, the prizes lately won by the men of No. 3 Company were presented by the Major, who took the opportunity at the same time of giving the men some useful hints on the subjecc of firing. The battalion prize firing will take place at the end of the month.
