We have been courteously favoured with the following satisfactory native news : — Ihe quarrel impending, as reported, between the Ngatipikiaoand Ngatiwhakane, hapu of the Arawa, arising out of a decision of the .Native Lands Court, has happily come to an end. There is no doubt that both parties were highly excited, but it happened that Mr. McLean and Mr. Clarke were able to arrive at the spot in ample time, and a long discussion with both of the disputing tribes concluded in their agreeing that they would stop al[ idea of lighting, and relcr their quarrels to arbitration.
