NOMINATION AT PARNELL.

In accordance with notification, a meeting of electors of the constituency ol Parnell was held to-day, at the Public Hall, at norm. Colonel Balneavis, as Heturning Officer, opened proceedings by reading the writ and calling on electors to nominate a Candidate. B. G-. Wood, Esq., was proposed by Mr. Hees, and seconded by Mr. Warner, as a fit and proper person to represent Parnell in the H.on«e of Representatives. T. M. BLine., Esq., was proposed by Mr. B. Turner, anil seconded by Mr. Cranwell. There being no other candidate proposed, the two gentlemen seeking the suffrages of Parnell addressed the electors, and a show of hands having been taken, was declared to be largely in favour ot Mr. Wood. a poll was demanded on behalf of Mr. King, and the election wil take place at the same place on Monday next.
