ARRIVAL OF THE RANGATIRA.
The s.s. Rangatira, Captain Renner, arrived in the Manukau early this morning, from Taranaki and Southern ports, bringing a general cargo (as per imports). The Rangatira left Wellington at 2 p.m. 12th inst.; arrived atPicton at 9 p.m., and left again at 10 p.m. same day; arrived at Nelson at 10 a.m. 13th ; left there at 2 p.m. 14th; passed the s.s. Phcebe at the entrance of Blind Bay same afternoon: arrived at New Plymouth at 9 a.m. 15th ; left there at 2 p.m. on the 15th, and arrived at the Manukau Heads at 8 a.m 17th, and at Onehunga early to-day. Had light variable winds, fine weather, and smooth water as far as New Plymouth, thence to the Manukau fresh head winds, with thick rainy weather. Passengebs.—Saloon : Colonel Haultain, Messrs. Kemp, Bain, Watson, Smith, Weir, Cnmer, Piesse, Thomas, Miss Stud. Steerage : Mr. and Mrs. Donald and four children, Mr. Poole.
