PRIZE-FIRING.
The first annual prize-firing in connection with the No. 3 Company of Volunteers will, as noticed elsewhere, take place on this day week at Point Chevalier. Captain J. McCosh Clark's cup, besides prizes to the value of £10, subscribed by the officers of the company, will be competed for, and as 'buses will leave Parnell, Newmarket, and the Windmill to convey members of the company to the butts, there will doubtless be a full muster and. some good shooting. Firing will commence at 9 a.m., and all members are to appear in uniform.
