THE GALATEA.

To the Editor of the Evening- Stab.

Sir,—l visited the Galatea by the p.s. Devonport, in company with a numerous party, and wd all purchased " return tickets," being assured by the captain of the boat that he would return about six o'clock p.m. and take us off. No steamer, however, came, and we were forced «o come ashore at, half-past, seven o'clock in watermen's boats, of'course, at our own expense. Is there no remedy for such scandalous conduct ? I think se ling return tickets under such circumstances is simply obtaining money under falsa prelences.—l aui, &c.',
