Glarke with a breach of the Impounding Act, by al lowing 5 cows to stray on the Karangahapc Rp«id, Newton, on the Bth January.—bmed 5s and costs—William Aicken was charged with a similar offence by allowing several horses to stray in a public thoroughfare,— Fined 5s and posts.—A. Crockett was brought up for the s>.me offence, having allowed a horse to st'-ay in Parnell. Fined 5s ana cosls. Embezzlement.—John Hoggarth, a 7°^PS man, was charged with embezzling£ls 6s Bad,8 a d, the property of his master, John Waddell. At the request of Mr. Inspector Broliam, prisoner was remanded till Friday next.
