PROVINCIAL COUNCIL.
WEDNESDAY^, JANUARY 12. In the Provincial Council yesterday, after various questions had been answered, Dr. Stratford's resolution for the encouragement of the production of silk was carried. Resolutions were carried resputing the Slaughter house, as was also the resolution for the appointement of a Committee on home industries. The motion for the encouragement of vineyards was also carried. The bill for the Hospital Trust and Management was read a second time, and referred to ja select Committee.
