p.m., and to-morrow, at 5.30 p.m. For Taranaki and the Southern Provinces, per s.s. Airedale, to-morrow, 10th inst., at 10 a.m. Late letters and telegrams for transmission from the Nelson station will be re-

ceived at this office till 10.30, and at Onehunga till 11.30 a.m. For Russell, per Gazelle, to-morrow, at 11 a.m. For Sydney, per Constance, to-morrow, at 11 a.m. For Napier and the Southern Provinces, per s.s. Taranaki, tomorrow, 10th hist., at 2 p.m. Late letters and telegrams for transmission from the Napier station will be received till 2.30 p.m. For Sydney and the Australian colonies, per Wonga Wonga, six hours after the arrival of that steamer from Honolulu. For Taranaki and the Southern provinces, per Phoebe, immediately after the arrival of the Wonga Wonga. For Tauranga and Opotiki, per Samson, tomorrow, at 11.30 a.m. Note. —Closed mails for letters and telegrams will be made up at this office daily for Tauranga, overland via Thames. Hours will bo notified. Note.—The rates of postage inNew Zealand to be charged on correspondence to the United Kingdom, via Marseilles and Brindisi are as follows :—Letters not exceeding half-an-ounce, Is. 3d.; not exceeding one ounce, 2s. Gd. ; and so on, Is. 3d. for every additional half ounce, or fraction thereof. Newspapers under four ounces each, 4d. Books and pattern parcels not exceeding one ounce, 2d. ; not exceeding two ounces, 4d. ; not exceeding four ounces, 7d.; not exceeding eight ounces, Is. 2d. ; and so on, Is. 2d. for every additional eight ounces or fraction thereof.
