SALE OF TOLLS.

The annual sale of provincial tolls, &c, took place this day, by order of T. B. Q-illies, Esq., Superintendent, by Messrs. Samuel Coehrane and Son, at their rooms, Fort-street, when the following prices wore realised : —Lot I—JJ'ees leviable at the iron store adjoining the Harbour Office, Queon-street Wharf, £11 10s per month; purchaser, Mr. J.Morton. Lot2—Foes chargeable for supply of water from the pipes laid down Queen-street Wharf, and from a twoinch pipe at Wynyard Pier, £41 per month ; purchaser, Captain Elliott. Lot 3—The tolls leviable at the Queen-street Wharf and Cus-tom-house-street, and at Gore-street Jetty, Breakwater Road, and Breakwater, together with the fees chargeable at the wharf weighbridge, £210 per month; purchaser, Mr. Charles Berridge. Lot 4—The fees leviable at the slaughter-house, Newmarket, £65 per month; purchaser, Mr. G. Clayton. Lot s—The tolls leviable at the Panmure Bridge, £17 per month ; purchaser, Mr. C. J. Storey. Lot 6—Th» tolls leviable at the Newmarket turnpike gate, and at the Remuemaud Mount Eden road (east) chain bars, together with the fees chargeable at the Newmarket weighbridge, £192 10s per month; purchaser, Mr. Firth WVigley. Lot 7—The tolls leviable at the Otahuhu and Slippery Creek turnpike gatss, Great South Road, £42 10s per month ; purchasers, Messrs. Sutherland and Absolum. Lot B—The8 —The tolls leviable at the Newton tollgate on the Great North Eoad, at its junction with the Ponsonby Ko.id, £14 per month ; purchaser, Mr. W. McGarry. Lot 9—The tolls leviable at, tlio Mount Eden Road tollgate (next the Eden Vine Hotel), and at the Gaol Road chain bar, together with the royalty leviable for scoria ash taken from the gravel pits on the Mount Eden reserve, £13 10s per month; purchaser, Mr. Win.

Gnlbraith. Lot 10—The tolls leviable at th c New North Bond toll-gate (adjoining the Eden Vine Hotel), £10 per month ; purchaser, Mr. Wra. Gralbraith. Thus yielding an • annual rpiital of seven thousand four hundred and four pounds.
