NARROW ESCAPE FROM FIRE.
Babeack-street had a narrow escape from destruction by fire yesterday, about noon. A drunken old fellow, named Flynn, who, with his wife, resides in that locality, had been intoxicated and violent during the early morning. About noon the neighbours abserved smoke issuing from the crevices of the door and windows. Knocking proving fruitless ; the door waa broken open, and Flynn found lying drunk upon the floor, whilst a quantity of blazing tarpaulins were heaped in the fireplace. A few moments longer would have sufficed to cause a conflagration.
